Well....its July
last time i posted here it was May
i need to get on track with this bloggin stuff, hehe.
But anyways! Since you're here [or rather, NOT here] here's a little updated on whats goin down in my world!
As far as work goes we finished up All Hail Megatron #2 last week. I tell you what this project has been quite the ride so far [both good and "bad"]
The good? I have had an unbelievable amount of communication with ALL creative individuals involved on this project. Now usually i'll talk to the artist [most the time i know them as friends anyway] and of course i'll talk to my editor, but i dont think i've ever spoken to the writer or anything. Never once have I really had a conversation with Simon Furman [for instance] on anything involving the book. Except maybe once. But i cant remember too well.
And the bad? I have had one heck of a time trying to find the right look for this series. I came in with an idea of the general palette and stuff i wanted but i never nailed it just right. I originally started off coloring the book in a different sort of style. So there i was trying to figure things out in the first issue all while artist Guido Guidi was still figuring out which style HE was gonna stick with! Sounds pretty messy eh?
Well, hopefully not. I think we both have an idea now on what we would like to do visually [and Shane has been a tremendous help in communicating to us his thoughts and his vision] that hopefully latter issues will run a lot smoother!
But sticking with the update on where i'm at, we finished issue 2 last week [like i already said]. I also laid down some colors to the issue 4 cover [whoever said there were no autobots lied lol] and should hopefully be starting on issue 3 this week or the next!
But wait, there's more!
I'm also going to be working on the 5 issue Maximum Dinobots mini with my good friend Nick Roche. Havent done too much for that outside of a promo-type image but hopefully we'll get started on the first issue here pretty soon. Cant wait to be working with Nick again. His stuff is always so awesome :D
And in other news that i'm quite excited about; i can draw!!

For those who dont know i like to dabble in pencilling. I'm no master nor am i that great of an amateur but i try! IDW has been gracious enough in the past to let me illustrate two covers for their Dinobot Hunt reprints and i just got word the other day that they're letting me illustrate a cover for the upcoming Transformers: Animated comics!
I'll tell you what, if there's any TF series that i just absolutely adore its TF:Animated. I love the show, love the toys, and i just love the new style! Its a blast to draw so I cant be more stoked about getting the opportunity to make a cover for the comics. Its gonna be awesome.
But anyways, thats probably about it as far as my life goes. Waitin on work and playin with toys! lol
